Why that helps: The purpose is not to draw a perfect floor plan. It is to expose when and where repeat trips collide so a normal home does not fail only at its busiest moment.

The six hosting presets and zone model remain. The planner also adds explicit stress-test inputs for four problems a static floor plan often misses: coat-drop stops at the threshold, food lines that backtrack, host refills that cross guest traffic, and used plates that travel upstream through service.
The output now scores separate peak moments—arrival, first food release, repeat trips, refill waves, cleanup traffic, and a viewing break when relevant. These are heuristic pressure scores, not occupancy calculations or promised queue times.
THE CORE LOGIC
Coats and bags should move beyond the threshold so wave arrivals do not turn the doorway into a permanent queue.
Drinks create repeat trips all event long. A separate touchpoint can keep those trips out of the food line and active kitchen.
A second station should solve a traffic problem. In compact rooms, dessert often works better as a later phase than a table that occupies space all night.
A room can look fine while empty and fail when food opens, halftime hits, or a refill tray meets a returning line of used plates. Fix the highest-pressure moment before adding furniture.
No. They are starting assumptions for ordinary hosting flow. Guest count only changes the planner's traffic heuristics; it does not calculate legal occupancy, fire-code capacity, accessibility compliance, or emergency egress.
Every station creates a place where people stop. In a compact layout, several permanent food, drink, and dessert surfaces can consume more circulation space than they save. The tool may recommend combining or delaying a station.
It marks one viewing focal point and adds checks for seating and refill traffic crossing the screen sightline. It still lets you change the real room, guest count, food stations, drinks, and other constraints.
Yes. Existing guest, room, station, entry, kitchen, seating, bathroom, and viewing settings are preserved. Older local saves are restored when available; the four new stress-test inputs default to off until you confirm those collisions exist.
No. The score only compares the hosting-flow problems you entered. It does not calculate legal occupancy, emergency egress, fire-code requirements, accessibility compliance, or required clearances.
