Party Flow Room Map Worksheet
Map entry, food, drinks, seating, bathroom access, trash, and bottlenecks before guests arrive. Fill in the top fields for “Guest count”, “Main room”, “Outdoor space?”, and “Mobility needs?”, then use the 2-page map to work through the “Entry”, “Food + Drink”, “Movement”, and “Reset” blocks in order. Use it during room setup, then physically walk the entry, food, drink, bathroom, and refill routes once before guests arrive.
Mark the real room constraints
Fill in “Guest count”, “Main room”, “Outdoor space?”, and “Mobility needs?”, then sketch the fixed furniture, door swings, and narrow passages that guests cannot move around easily.
Trace Entry and Food + Drink
The “Entry” block covers “Door swing + greeting point”, “Coat / bag landing”, and “Shoes if relevant”; “Food + Drink” covers “Food station”, “Drink station”, and “Refill path”. Trace the repeat trips between them and move a station if those paths collide.
Finish with Reset
Check “Trash / recycling”, “Dirty-dish landing”, and “Backup supplies”. A good map protects repeat routes first; decor and extra furniture come after the path works.

What should I fill in first?
Start with the “Guest count” and “Main room” fields. Then move into “Entry” so the drawing starts from the room and traffic pattern you actually have.
What if I move furniture after filling out the map?
Update the repeat routes, not every decorative detail. Recheck the entry, bathroom path, food and drink access, refill route, and any new pinch point created by the move.
Can I adapt this sheet to a different party format?
Yes. Keep the fixed room features, then redraw the stations and repeat routes for the new event. The goal is to expose bottlenecks, not preserve one party layout.
