Drink Station Setup Checklist
Set up water, cups, cold drinks, ice, add-ins, waste, and backup stock away from the active cooking lane. Fill in the top fields for “Guest count”, “Party hours”, “Station location”, and “Refill owner”, then use the one-page checklist to work through the “Before Setup”, “Set Out”, “Small Extras”, and “Refill” blocks in order. Keep it with the day-of plan and mark only completed work; cross out anything deliberately removed so the remaining essentials stay obvious.
Start with the essentials
Fill in “Guest count”, “Party hours”, “Station location”, and “Refill owner” first, then use the checklist as the single source of truth for what is actually done. Do not pre-check work just because it is planned.
Work through Before Setup and Set Out
Use “Before Setup” for “Choose location away from stove”, “Confirm nearby surface”, and “Plan trash / empties”, then move to “Set Out” for “Water visible first”, “Cups / glasses”, and “Primary drinks”. Mark an item only when the action is complete or deliberately removed from the plan.
Finish with Refill
Use “First refill staged”, “Backup kept cold”, and “Check at planned interval” as the closing pass. If an unfinished item no longer matters to the event, cross it out rather than carrying it as invisible work.
